Learn More About the Heart of the City Bike Tour
Meet us in historic San Telmo (Peru 988), where we begin our bike tour of Buenos Aires with a thorough orientation, introducing you to the city, your bike and each other. Pointing our wheels south, we pedal through the backstreets of one of the oldest barrios in Buenos Aires making our way towards Parque Lezama, the border of La Boca and San Telmo. We then tour La Boca and in this port town, witness elaborate urban art, an iconic stadium and the birthplace of Tango in colorful Caminito. We allow you free time to discover these vibrant 4 blocks that once greeted millions of immigrants at the turn of the 20th century.
Back on our bikes, we seek a completely different world in the neighboring bubble of Puerto Madero. The obvious contrast is felt as you ride through the quiet, yet very modern streets in search of the 60 acre Ecological Reserve (*closed Mondays). Now that our appetite has kicked in, we stop at an original Parrilla on the southern coast boardwalk to get a filling lunch, at a local favorite barbecue food truck (vegetarian options available).
Full and satisfied, all roads lead to the “Heart of the City” in Plaza de Mayo where you will learn about why most Argentine historical events happened right here in this very spot. Once you’ve grasped the timeline of traumatic, powerful and sometimes uplifting events that happened right where you stand, feel free to wander off on foot to discover a bit more of the Plaza and its intriguing surroundings.
Our tour ends back at our meeting point in San Telmo (Peru 988) where we recapture the day and recommend some BA tips. Lasting approximately 5 hours, we follow many bike trails and stop around 10 times to drink and learn about Yerba Mate, take photos, eat delicious asado and enjoy a fun, creative and informative tour led by expert bilingual guides.

What Are Guests Saying About Their BBA Experience?
What powers us to keep growing and making our Biking Buenos Aires tours better each and every year? Well, besides our feet, its the warm reviews, social shares and love from our customers that pushes us to make BBA even better for our customers.
“I don’t usually do tours like this.. I tend to always just explore cities on my own and by foot. But I have to say, I’m so glad I decided to do a Biking Buenos Aires tour. I got to see all of the main parts of the city in one day and in style (the bikes are all the sky blue Argentinian color and have a retro vibe to them) I learned so much about the history of the city that I didn’t know about, and I met some awesome people who I’ve been hanging out with since. Our tour guides Corina and Angie were absolutely fantastic (never mind the fact that they’re both absolutely gorgeous!) Corina was our leader and history professor. She had this incredible way of telling stories of the past that painted such a vivid picture and really took you back. Angie was our protector and handywoman. She followed us, made sure traffic stopped for us (which is a hefty task here in BA), and got her hands dirty if anything happened with one of the bikes. Corina led and enlightened us and Angie kept us safe. Oh, and the included lunch was soooooo delicious. So grateful for this experience! Thanks to the whole team for being so awesome.”Audrianna T.
“Biking Buenos Aires gave me the opportunity to explore the city in a different way. I have been living in Buenos Aires for almost a year now and decided to take this tour; I must say that I saw and learned things that I never did before. Our guide Brett was very knowledgeable with lots of fun facts about the city and its history. She was always aware of everyone in the tour and our safety. Even though, we spent several hours in the bike it wasn´t tiring at all, since we had many stops and the city is completely flat. This tour is an excellent option for people all ages. I highly recommended!!!”Irving P.
“My friends, my sons and I were fortunate to book a city biking tour with Biking Buenos Aires just last week. It was awesome! Comfortable, informative and a ton of fun. Angie and the crew do an upstanding job. Angie is informative, enthusiastic, and knowledgable about the fascinating city. She is emotional as she describes the ups and downs of Buenos Aires history. From the architectural feats and fails, and govermental dictatorship to periods of direct democracy, Angie is cogent and engaging. On top of this, the meal they include along the waterfront is totally delicious! We love you guys and we’ll be back for all of your tours next time.”Dan H.
